Chelsea Heights

Chelsea Heights is a close-in established neighborhood of diverse homes within easy access to Emory University,CDC, and within walking distance to respected Fernbank Elementary School.  Several DeKalb County Parks are located in the area, including a lovely walking path behind Fernbank Science Center which features old-growth trees in the Fernbank Forest.  These  quiet streets contain 1950's-1960's brick ranches, bungalow-style homes, and newer construction, as well as a few contemporary properties.

Chelsea Heights straddles the East and West side of the CSX railroad line, falling partly within the City of Decatur and partly in unincorporated DeKalb County.  The unincorporated area comprises 2 separate zip codes - 30030 and 30307.  In fact, the unincorporated section is located in the Druid Hills Historic District.
