DeKalb County Real Estate Market Indicators
The Proliferation of Real Estate Signs
Have you noticed the new yard ornaments popping up? This is a sure sign we are in the middle of another Atlanta spring. In talking with other real estate professionals in the area, it is apparent that we are about a month and a half later than normal. We are finally beginning to see signs of life -- more buyers are now entering the market, and more sellers are making the decision to place their home on the market.
The Emory Decatur neighborhoods are still doing very well. Several well-priced properties have recently sold within a few days on the market. The key, as always, is location, pricing and condition.
If you are considering the sale of your home this year, make sure you do all the maintenance you have put off for awhile. Dust off your tools, or hire someone to take care of that "to do" list. Fresh paint can do wonders, and don't forget our new DeKalb County law regarding "low flow" toliets. Plant some flowers and keep your lawn in pristine condition. Buyers still have lots of homes to look at and you want yours to be remembered.
