Proposal to Amend HomeBuyer Tax Credit to $15,0000
A recent article distributed by the Associated Press on June 11, 2009 indicates that Johnny Isakson, one of our Georgia Senators and a former real estate professional, has proposed an increase in the home buyer tax credit to $15,000 from $8,000. The legislation, if passed, would remove previous requirements that recipients be first-time buyers and that they meet income criteria. This measure would stimulate the housing market across the country by including "move-up" homebuyers.
What a positive impact this would have for the entire housing market!
