Have Your Saturdays & Sundays Become An Endless Round of Errands?

How have our weekends evolved into a dizzy whirl of chores, shopping, stress and carting children to their various activities?  How did we let this happen?  Dr. Albert Schweitzer said "If your soul has no Sunday, it is an ophan."

It's time to reclaim the weekend.  This should be a time to restore the balance in our lives, making room for what we really want to do - and be.

Here are a few suggestions :

  • Get out your bike and take a leisurely ride.
  • Fly a kite -- get the whole family involved
  • Visit the Botanical Gardens
  • Spend an afternoon in the library or a book store
  • Take a nap
  • Share a meal with friends -- cook something new
  • Work on your hobby, book, or whatever brings you pleasure

Use at least part of the weekend to recharge your batteries and above all, don't over-schedule those precious hours.  Enjoy!
